Stem Cell Therapy

The Power of Cellular Repair.

Stem cell therapy represents one of the most significant advances in non-surgical orthopedic care, harnessing the biology of repair to treat conditions that once had few options beyond surgery.

Overview

What Is Stem Cell Therapy?

Stem cells are the body's raw material, cells capable of developing into specialized tissue types and supporting the repair of damaged structures. In a regenerative medicine context, we use mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs): the cells responsible for building bone, cartilage, tendon, ligament, muscle, and connective tissue.

At Sound Regenerative Medicine, we offer three distinct categories of stem cell-based therapy, each sourced from ethically donated, screened umbilical cord tissue, and each with its own ideal clinical application. The goal in every case is the same: deliver potent biological signals to damaged tissue and support your body in actually rebuilding what's been lost.

Unlike cortisone or anti-inflammatory medications, stem cell therapy is not about quieting pain signals. It's about addressing the underlying tissue damage that produces those signals in the first place.

Our Sourcing Standards

Why Umbilical Cord Tissue?

Historically, stem cells for regenerative medicine were harvested from the patient's own bone marrow or fat tissue. This worked, but it also required a painful harvest procedure, and the yield declined sharply with age, making the treatment less potent for the very patients who needed it most.

Umbilical cord tissue changed that. Donated after healthy, scheduled C-section deliveries with full informed consent, it contains young, highly viable mesenchymal stem cells. Because umbilical cord cells are immune-privileged, there's no need for donor matching.

All tissue used at Sound Regenerative Medicine is processed to American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) standards and screened for infectious disease, sterility, cell viability, and potency before it ever reaches our clinic.
